KEYWORDS Keywords are the words that prospective customers search for when looking for a service or product. Following our previous example in part 1 with the plumber, if we did a search for “leaky faucet atlanta" I would come up with a list of plumbers (hopefully) in Atlanta, GA that I could choose from. So how do I know which keywords people use to find what they are looking for? While we have our own procedures here at Atlanta Web Pros, you can simply do a search in Google for “find keywords" and see what you come up with. There are many resources out there. Once you have a nice list of popular search terms (keywords) for your product or service, you need to ensure that your site has these keywords in the content. Before creating a new page for your site choose one main focus-keyword and 2 less important keywords for that page. Use a title and a subtitle that includes your keywords and include those keywords in a title and or subtitle. There are many questions out there regarding the use of keywords. How many times the keyword should be repeated on the page or what should be a keyword density.
